Interview with Pedro Batista
In this interview, Pedro Batista talks about the future of sustainable packaging at the Bosch Home Comfort Group.

Heat pumps: sustainable packaging on the rise

In developing sustainable packaging for heat pumps, the focus is on reducing the use of plastics such as EPS (expanded polystyrene) and using environmentally friendly alternatives. The teams in Sweden and Portugal are working with state-of-the-art technologies to develop innovative solutions that reduce packaging costs by up to 40 percent and CO2 emissions per module by 25 percent. Bosch is constantly striving to strike a balance between product protection, cost efficiency, and sustainability.
Solar collectors: Reducing CO2 in the packaging process

Bosch also relies on sustainable packaging for its solar thermal collectors. Using cardboard instead of plastic film saves 30 tons of plastic each year and significantly reduces CO2 emissions. Using protective cardboard corners instead of plastic for accessories also reduces packaging waste for consumers.
These projects show how the Bosch Home Comfort Group is making an important contribution to environmental protection with changes both large and small.
